itself is located beneath the junction of the roadway with Xilin Avenue & Laguna Golf Green.

Xilin station. Contract T313. The section that delayed both the Downtown Line 3 extension and the Thomson-East Coast Line's phase 5 by a year. How are things looking at this overdue section? With approximately a year to go to opening day, we find out what progress has been made with this little laggard as the year's end bears down on us.

How much do you know about Xilin station's design? What we've come across thus far suggests a yellow livery for the station with a polka-dotted inspired design theme. Exit 1, which is integrated with a cooling tower on top of the exit, will feature the most of the design with the ventilation louvres for the cooling tower.

In the east, progress is becoming more apparent at street level & we also have a sneak peak at the station's interior. Greetings! We're glad to state that the Downtown Line (DTL) Construction blog is back! Since the completion of the line as first envisioned, several additions & extensions have been proposed, discussed and brought to life. Current projects in progress for the line consist of fitting out the DT4 station and extending the eastern end by 2.2km with 2 stations. We'll take a look at the progress made through October 2024 to commemorate the blog's comeback after 8 years!

Downtown Line 3 Extension

This morning together with the announcement of the eastern stretch of the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL), the locations of the Downtown Line 3 Extension (DTL3e) were announced. The extension stretches 2.6km and will see two new stations being added to the existing and upcoming Downtown Line.
