We're here to cover an update on progress along the Downtown Line's extensions - both to the east & the west. In the east, progress is becoming more apparent at street level & we also have a sneak peak at the station's interior. Over at the west, the pre-qualification period has ended for the extension's 4 contracts. Who has been qualified to bid for the contracts? Find out all that and more after the jump!
Downtown Line 3 Extension
Progress was being made on the DTL3 extension, with works entering into the architectural works phase. With the extension due to go live next year, this is a welcome development.
DT36 - Xilin
In a nutshell: Architectural works were in progress for at least 2 of the 3 station exits. Covered linkways, glass side walls and external cladding were being installed at the two exits along the southbound carriageway of Xilin Avenue. Structural works were still in progress for the exit along the northbound carriageway, which will feature an integrated ventilation building atop the exit.

Downtown Line 2 Extension
Pre-qualification for the project's 4 contracts has come to a close, with several firms since shortlisted for bidding for the various contracts. Tendering for the 4 contracts still remains open.
