Hume is at its final phase of being backfilled. Road reinstatement could possibly take place early next year.

  1. This being a shell station, will there be any exits constructed, or after the backfill of the station, the construction team will lead an area for the future construction of the entrance?

    1. No exits will be constructed as part of a shell station, however provisions are left in the station box design to allow for the topping of superstructures. The entrances and ventilation shafts will only be constructed when the station has been given the go-ahead to become operational.

  2. Wow.. Thanks for your speedy reply. So this means, once DTL 2 is in operation, the train will whizz by without commuters knowing that there is a shell station between Beauty World & Hillview, similar to between CCL Botanic Gardens & Caldecott.

BTW: Any idea where is this Bukit Brown, i saw sidings(X-over point) on the way to Caldecott, is that roughly where Bukit Brown Station is ?

    1. Yeah, pretty much. You can check out more of the interior of Hume station box here: http://downtown-line.blogspot.sg/2014/01/dt4-sneak-peek.html#more

Bukit Brown on the Circle Line is located where the cripple sidings between Caldecott and Botanic Gardens stations are. A few photos:

In the second photo you can make out the columns along the platform edge of the station to the left.
